putting this bench together will test the endurance of your patience. Parts were mislabeled (parts A and B were labeled in reverse.) Parts were missing (bumper pads for doors.) Instruction manual contained errors. Screwdriver included for assembly was virtually worthless. (instructions say do NOT use power tools.) The size XX-large bench is smaller than you might expect and the interior depth does not allow any shoe larger than a men's 9 1/2 to comfortably fit straight onto the shelf, but will need to be angled, taking up valuable space. The right side of the cabinet holds 1 pair of boots, as long as they aren't too tall. I would suggest lining the shoe shelf with a waterproof liner or getting a boot tray and cutting it to fit to protect the shelf from wet, sloppy or muddy shoes because no protective liner is included in the kit. It is a plus that the bench top lifts up to hold things like hats, gloves, umbrella, etc., but the seat cushion is unattached so you need to take off the cushion or hold it while lifting the lid to prevent cushion from sliding off. I like the ventilated doors that allow air circulation within the shoe/boot storage area. Finished bench serves the purpose and looks nice, but assembly was tedious and frustrating.We wear size 10 and 11 shoes. If we keep the shoes we are not able to close the cabinets properly as the shoe is hitting the door. The width should have been little bigger. Overall the quality of the product is ok. But it doesn’t worth $150this self is amazing. it is made out of high quality material and the wood is very good. it took me 10 minuets to finish setting this self up, the instructions are very clear. additionally there is a lot of storage space and this is very suitable for my house. i really enojoyed this purchase.Entry wayPROS: This entryway bench with shoe storage is on the expensive side, but it's beautiful with quality craftsmanship. I am very selective & picky about inspecting furniture for damages. However, the parts arrived carefully wrapped in one box & in overall good condition within one week of placing my order. The bench appears sturdy & it's made of solid wood, but we'll have to see how well it holds up to being in a high traffic area in our home & everyone sitting on it to remove/wear shoes.CONS: I really wish the seller would have labeled the parts because the instruction booklet came with letters & numbers assigned to each component, but absolutely nothing in the box was actually labeled! Component #9 was not labeled properly or at all in certain steps. Also, the pictures in the instructions did not match all the parts, because we purchased the largest bench (XXXL) from the options but the diagrams in the instructions showed a medium bench!? Therefore, it took two of us some extra time to assemble the bench so I'm docking points off what would have been a more positive & higher rated review. I hope the seller takes this review as constructive feedback to update the instructions for each bench option sold.the assembly instructions are only pictorials and refer to the panels which are labelled with letters. The instructions appeared to be mis-leading in terms of the left end versus the right end and thus required dis-assembly of some panels when it became obvious some panels would not correctly fit.We placed this bench in our bedroom. Amazed that it matches our Amish-made bedroom furniture so closely. Solid bamboo construction and nice cushion to sit on while changing shoes. Assembly instructions are easy to follow. Everything went together well until the doors. Difficult to align, even with the adjustments. Right door was really out of alignment and stuck out unevenly using existing pre-drilled holes. Drilled new holes furthur in and corrected problem. Does take some effort to fit the doors, but the rest ofd the assembly went well. Would be a nice feature to have velcro on the cushion to keep from sliding and dowel plugs to cover the screw holes on each side.The bench is nice and classy looking. It was quite easy to assemble but they provided extra screws that were not needed that might confuse some.It has enough storage for about 8 pairs of shoes and a pair of rain boots.The seat cushion isn’t soft but nice firm faux leather.
