The wood used in this product is solid Indian Acacia wood in its most natural form. To maintain the natural and rustic characteristics of the wood, the pieces often have large knots, splits, big cracks, color variations and repair patches. The splits will have no sharp edges and will be smooth to the touch, while large end cracks will have a small butterfly dowel applied to prevent further splitting.
Each piece has unique characteristics depending on the inherent traits of the wood. Natural shapes, dents, nicks, cracks and knots are considered natural characteristics of this item, desirable for their rustic effect.
The wood on each piece has cracks that may widen over time.
