I'll give it 4.5 stars and round up. >>Pluses: The parts fit each other solidly, for the most part. The finish is eye-pleasing, except for the holes used for cam locks for connecting bolts, and support screws (paper stickers used to cover them), I really like the open sides of the stand- for easier access to the cross bar behind the toilet than if they were fully paneled, well documented inventories (hardware, woodware) - although I'd prefer to see measurements of each hardware item, eg #4 1/2" screws, etc) added to the parts list, and a helpful 800#, and roomier shelves than the competition I saw, slightly reduced by the recessed doors. >>Minuses, *1 Of the three pieces of fiberboard along the back, the alignment of the bottom two is such that the small screws almost don't fit within the bottom of the lower shelf. The screw heads overlap the edges of the two pieces. *2 The bevel of the wood screws used for the door hinges is unusually shallow. If you lose one, you'll probably not find a replacement at Home Depot or other national chain. That's important because the bevel in the hinges is expecting a shallow fit, and a steeper screw head will prevent a solid connection. I.E., The most common bevel I find has an 82 degree span, but this one I'd swear was wider than 100. Could be wrong, but nothing I easily have access to. *3 Designed to be completely assembled before placing it against and securing into the wall behind it. If placed over a toilet, this is a cumbersome unit to be moving it in and out as you go through the securing process. I couldn't assemble & install it per instructions because my toilet is too close to the wall for the fully assembled unit with lower crossbar to slide down behind it. There is an element of blindness as you try connecting the "molly bolts" into the holes drilled into the wall. *4 The included Molly Bolts(?) have no overlapping head to catch on the wall. I went to my local hardware store to get the other kind. What you don't want, as you are trying to connect the screws into the bolts is to miss the center hole and/or push the bolts through-beyond the edge of the drywall. Bolts with overlapping heads get around that part of the challenge in securing the cabinet to the wall. *5 Packing was not quite sufficient to prevent the shipping box from spilling open. A minor "spill" - no parts were lost or damaged.I'm not a mechanically minded person, but was able to put this together with only minor help. I believe many people could do it alone, if weight is not an issue. Note, from Minus #3: my approach was to assemble the bottom stand first, and fasten it's lower cross bar after positioning it behind a toilet but before adding the cabinet on top. To do this, you eliminate the step of fastening the lower third back board to the stand below where it overlaps for that purpose. The board is secured on the sides, and overlap of screw heads along the top.I've attached two images to this review. One gives an idea of shelf usage of the installed cabinet. The other provides a detail of how ugly the holes are before papering over them. In the former (note holes inside for the inside adjustable shelf) two holes outside have been covered with sticky paper disks (lowest shelf, front and back). In the latter, the slightly used cover packet can be seen beside 2 uncovered holes.I’m torn how to rate this purchase. Pros: it was perfect for the small space that I had to work with for my apartment rental (thus couldn’t build anything permanent) and it’s awesome having the extra shelving space. Since my bathroom has tile walls, needed to figure out a creative workaround to attach it to the wall (in case a kid were to pull on it) — there is already some cut out holes in the back to make it easy. It has a stylish white look so look good and not cheap. Cons: putting it together isn’t quick and takes two people to do it seamlessly. A few pieces (top wood and one side leg) came damaged which was a bit annoying given the purchase wasn’t cheap! Of the ones we considered, it was the most expensive — this, would have expected some quality control over the parts. However, customer service was easy to deal with and they sent out replacement parts with little hassle and I got them within a week. (This added time to the experience given we had to take everything out to remove and replace the defective pieces). Overall, happy with the purchase just not sure the value is there given the high price and misses with getting the pieces right the first time. If I had more options to choose from for my size requirements I wouldn’t recommend this one. It’s good for what it’s for — temp space for the bathroom in a place I’m renting. This product is perfect for bathrooms lacking extra storage space. I recently had my bathroom redone and I had zero bathroom storage besides under the sink (not even a towel rack!) and I've been hurting for spare space. My sink counter was cluttered, under my sink was cluttered, and anything that didn't fit there got put in a bin next to the sink. Product instructions are clear, if occasionally typo'd (when installing the doors, it appears someone cut/pasted the left side door instructions so they appear twice, above and below for the right side door). The doors sat flush, and all the pre-drilled holes were perfectly lined up. A very sturdy unit! My ONLY complaint was that one of the double-sided connector bolts was machined improperly so there was nothing for the cam bolt to lock to, but I was able to replace it with one I found at an Ace Hardware. I now have all my makeup and miscellaneous medicines in the cabinet, and it opened up a lot of space in my bathroom!DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - The holes were cut wrong in the unit I received. At first I thought it was my inability to assemble this product. However, after my husband and several of my friends tried to lock the pins into the cam locks that connect the top and bottom halves of the product together - we all came to the same conclusion that it is IMPOSSIBLE because the pins do NOT reach the cam locks. I followed the instructions and contacted the company directly first. I filled out a service request form and explained exactly what I needed, including adding pictures. I was sent the same size pins. After several months of communication and talking on the phone, I was told that I would need to find pins 1/8" longer somewhere else because they do not have them. That means, in order for me to mail back the product I must now disassemble it. It took a very long time to assemble it, and there is no way I can remember how it was put together the way it came. The product is of good quality and looks nice, but I can't use it if the top and bottom are not locked together because it is a hazard. What a freaking waste of time! Unless you are handy at jury rigging don't even bother purchasing this item.UPDATE: I meant to update this post awhile ago. After getting the run around by the company for several months, I was finally contacted by the company, and they replaced the item. I am very happy with the item. It is a nice piece for the price. It's nice and seems sturdy so far, but it was very difficult to assemble. The instructions weren't very clear so there were plenty of parts I needed to unscrew and rearrange after getting to a later step because I realized they were on wrong (like the magnet).Tip for connecting the top and bottom halves (which stumped me, and apparently others, for a bit), put the rods into the top half and lock them into place, then push the locks into the bottom half, leaving them unlocked. Put the top on the bottom and let gravity pull the rods down into place, lock. This might take a little bit of encouragement with something thin, and some jiggling, to get them all the way through, but they are thin enough.I also waited until the furniture was in place to attach the bar on the bottom, so that I could get it behind my toilet first. The package arrived on time. The items were all good
